Responsibilities
- Assist with Permit Processing: Support the intake and processing of building and construction permits for city residents and businesses.
- Customer Service Support: Serve as the first point of contact for public inquiries via phone and in-person, providing accurate information and directing requests appropriately.
- Data Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in departmental databases and filing systems, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
- Office Operations: Perform general clerical duties including scanning, faxing, copying, and managing incoming mail.
- Project Assistance: Assist senior staff with special projects, research, and the preparation of reports or presentations.
- Community Outreach: Help distribute informational materials and assist at community events to promote public awareness of city services.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Experience: No prior work experience required. We value attitude and aptitude over experience.
- Skills: Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office Suite) and strong typing skills are preferred.
