Responsibilities
- Client Intake & Support: Assist applicants and recipients with the intake process for state assistance programs, ensuring accurate data entry and document verification.
- Record Management: Maintain and organize confidential client files, ensuring compliance with state privacy regulations and retention policies.
- Information Dissemination: Provide clear, accurate information regarding eligibility requirements, program guidelines, and procedural steps to the public via phone, email, and in-person inquiries.
- Case Monitoring: Conduct periodic reviews of active cases to ensure continued eligibility and update case records with any changes in status.
- Reporting: Prepare and submit daily, weekly, or monthly reports regarding program statistics, intake numbers, and operational efficiency to supervisors.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other agency departments and community partners to coordinate services for clients effectively.
- Compliance: Adhere to all state and federal laws, agency policies, and safety protocols at all times.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required; Associate’s degree in Public Administration, Social Work, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in customer service, data entry, or administrative support within a government or public sector environment.
- Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with database management systems.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex regulations in simple terms.
- Attention to Detail: Strong analytical skills with a high level of accuracy in data management and record-keeping.
- Integrity: Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and exercise sound professional judgment at all times.
- Availability: Ability to work a flexible schedule, including occasional evenings or weekends, depending on program needs.
