We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Government Pension Administrator to join our team in Las Vegas. In this pivotal role, you will manage the administration of state pension plans, ensuring accuracy in benefit calculations and strict compliance with federal and state regulations. You will serve as the primary point of contact for retirees and employees regarding their retirement entitlements, ensuring a smooth transition into retirement. Responsibilities
- Manage and process pension applications, calculations, and disbursements with 100% accuracy.
- Conduct thorough audits of retirement records to ensure compliance with ERISA and state statutes.
- Provide exceptional customer service and guidance to current and retired government employees regarding their benefits.
- Collaborate with the finance department to reconcile monthly pension statements and accounts.
- Update and maintain the master database of beneficiary information and salary history.
- Assist in the development and implementation of new pension policy updates.
- Investigate and resolve complex discrepancies in pension calculations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Public Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in pension administration or government benefits management.
- Strong working knowledge of ERISA regulations and state retirement systems.
- Proficiency in using HRIS software (e.g., Workday, SAP) and database management systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial concepts to non-experts.
- High level of attention to detail and strict adherence to confidentiality protocols.
- Must be a U.S. citizen and able to pass a comprehensive background check.
