Responsibilities
- Manage pension disbursement processes for 50,000+ retired government beneficiaries
- Validate retirement eligibility using federal EBSA guidelines and state regulations
- Process complex pension adjustments during overnight hours (8 PM - 4 AM)
- Collaborate with IRS and SSA systems for real-time compliance verification
- Generate monthly pension reports for state auditors using SQL/Excel
- Train night shift staff on updated pension administration protocols
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Public Administration, or related field
- 3+ years pension administration experience in government sector
- Strong knowledge of ERISA and state pension regulations
- Proficiency with pension management software (e.g., Millennium, Empower)
- Ability to work independently during overnight hours with minimal supervision
- Valid Georgia government security clearance (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- Advanced Excel skills with VLOOKUP and pivot table expertise
