Responsibilities
- Administer and optimize government pension plans with strict adherence to ERISA and IRS regulations
- Process retirement applications, benefit calculations, and disbursements with 99.9% accuracy
- Conduct periodic audits of pension portfolios and investment performance
- Provide expert guidance to public employees on retirement planning and post-employment benefits
- Collaborate with finance teams to ensure pension fund solvency and regulatory compliance
- Generate comprehensive reports for stakeholders including state auditors and agency heads
- Implement system upgrades to enhance pension management efficiency
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Actuarial Science, Public Administration, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of pension plan administration or financial management experience
- Proficiency in pension software systems (e.g., Millennium, Empower)
- Deep understanding of federal/state pension regulations and fiduciary responsibilities
