Responsibilities
- Manage pension enrollment processes and eligibility verifications
- Analyze retirement contribution calculations and benefit projections
- Respond to participant inquiries regarding plan provisions and retirement options
- Maintain compliance with ERISA and Michigan pension regulations
- Prepare quarterly benefit statements and annual reports
- Collaborate with HR departments on pension integration with employee benefits
- Support audit preparation and documentation reviews
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Public Administration, or related field
- 3+ years of pension administration or benefits experience
- Proficiency in pension management software (e.g., Millennium, UltiPro)
- Strong knowledge of ERISA, IRS 401(k) regulations, and Michigan pension laws
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail
- Clear communication abilities for explaining complex retirement concepts
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Government or public sector background preferred
