Responsibilities
- Calculate and process pension benefits for eligible retirees with 100% accuracy.
- Review and audit pension applications to ensure compliance with state and local regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service to retirees and their families regarding inquiries.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of all pension transactions and employee contributions.
- Collaborate with the Human Resources department to update retirement policy documentation.
- Assist in the administration of the daily pay program for temporary and seasonal staff.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Public Administration is required.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in pension administration or government benefits.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) is mandatory.
- Familiarity with state pension laws and compliance regulations.
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to handle sensitive financial data with discretion.
- Valid Wisconsin Driver’s License may be required for occasional travel.
