Responsibilities
- Administer defined benefit pension plans for municipal employees
- Process retirement applications and benefit calculations
- Conduct compliance audits for ERISA and Florida state regulations
- Develop educational materials for pre-retirement planning
- Collaborate with finance teams on actuarial valuations
- Manage participant inquiries via secure digital portals
- Prepare annual pension reports for government oversight
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Public Administration, or related field
- 3+ years of pension plan administration experience
- Certified Pension Consultant (CPC) or CEBS designation preferred
- Proficiency in pension management software (e.g., Empower, Morningstar)
- Strong knowledge of ERISA and Florida retirement statutes
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
