Responsibilities
- Grant Management: Oversee the administration of federal and state grant programs, ensuring strict compliance with all regulatory requirements and reporting deadlines.
- Policy Analysis: Conduct in-depth research and analysis on public safety trends to provide data-driven recommendations to senior leadership.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Serve as the primary point of contact for local law enforcement agencies and community organizations to align on safety initiatives.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare detailed budget proposals, financial statements, and performance reports for the annual legislative session.
- Program Evaluation: Monitor program metrics and outcomes to identify areas for improvement and optimize resource allocation.
- Compliance Monitoring: Ensure all departmental operations adhere to state and federal laws, including safety protocols and ethical standards.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Criminal Justice, Political Science, or a related field required.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in government operations, public policy, or program management.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with grant management software (e.g., Grants.gov, Samson) is highly preferred.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly to diverse audiences.
- Background Check: Ability to pass a comprehensive background investigation and obtain necessary security clearances.
