Responsibilities
- Monitor federal and state legislative activities to identify opportunities and threats to agency objectives.
- Develop and implement strategic advocacy plans for key government stakeholders.
- Prepare and submit testimony, position papers, and briefing materials for congressional committees.
- Represent the agency at industry conferences, public hearings, and coalition meetings.
- Maintain relationships with key policymakers, advocacy groups, and industry leaders.
- Analyze the impact of regulatory changes on agency operations and recommend compliance strategies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Public Administration, Law, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in government relations, public policy, or a related field.
- Deep understanding of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and state government procurement processes.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
- Proven track record of building relationships with policymakers and stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
