Responsibilities
- Act as the primary point of contact for residents and businesses inquiring about city services, permits, and regulations.
- Process incoming applications, forms, and documentation with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Update and maintain accurate digital records and databases to ensure compliance with state and federal standards.
- Coordinate with various municipal departments to resolve service issues and streamline administrative processes.
- Assist in the organization of community outreach events and public information sessions.
- Maintain a professional, courteous demeanor while managing high-volume inquiries via phone, email, and in person.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Public Administration or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in customer service, administrative support, or government operations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and government-specific case management software.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex policies to the general public.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a diverse team environment.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening as required for government employment.
