Responsibilities
- Research and identify relevant grant opportunities from foundations, government agencies, and corporate sponsors
- Develop persuasive grant proposals, budgets, and reports tailored to funder requirements
- Cultivate relationships with program directors and stakeholders to gather program data
- Manage grant application deadlines and maintain detailed tracking systems
- Analyze funding trends and recommend strategic funding priorities
- Prepare program narratives and supporting documentation for submissions
- Collaborate with finance team to ensure budget alignment and compliance
Qualifications
- 3+ years of professional grant writing experience with proven funding success
- Portfolio of 5+ funded grant proposals (>$1M total)
- Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Nonprofit Management, or related field
- Expertise in researching funding databases (e.g., Candid, Foundation Directory)
- Exceptional writing/editing skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Experience with federal, state, and private foundation grants
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and grant management software
