Responsibilities
- Maintain and beautify public parks, trails, and recreational facilities to ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for all visitors.
- Perform landscape maintenance tasks, including mowing, trimming, planting, and irrigation system upkeep during all seasons.
- Assist with the setup, operation, and breakdown of community events, festivals, sports leagues, and recreational programs.
- Monitor facilities for safety hazards, vandalism, and maintenance needs; report and resolve issues promptly.
- Engage with the public to answer inquiries, provide information on park programs, and promote community involvement.
- Operate and maintain landscaping tools and light machinery safely and efficiently.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Valid Kansas Driver’s License with a good driving record is preferred.
- Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for extended periods, and working in various weather conditions.
- Strong commitment to customer service and community engagement.
- Basic knowledge of landscaping principles and equipment operation is a plus.
