Responsibilities
- Process emergency and non-emergency calls with precision and composure
- Operate multi-channel radio systems for police, fire, and EMS coordination
- Maintain accurate incident logs and computer-aided dispatch records
- Provide critical information to field units during high-stress situations
- Utilize CAD systems and mapping technology for efficient resource deployment
- Coordinate with multiple agencies during critical incidents
- Train on crisis intervention and de-escalation protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Minimum typing speed of 40 WPM with 95% accuracy
- Valid New Mexico driver's license
- Pass extensive background investigation and polygraph examination
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Clear speaking voice with excellent verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and computer-based systems
- No felony convictions or serious misdemeanor offenses
