Responsibilities
- Operate heavy machinery (excavators, loaders, compactors) for infrastructure projects
- Perform manual labor including excavation, grading, and concrete pouring
- Conduct safety inspections and maintain equipment per OSHA standards
- Assist in stormwater management and drainage system installations
- Collaborate with engineering teams for precision construction tasks
- Document daily progress and maintain project cleanliness protocols
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years public works or heavy construction experience
- Valid North Carolina Commercial Driver's License (Class A/B)
- Certification in heavy equipment operation (preferred)
- OSHA 10/30 certification or willingness to obtain
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Clean background check and pre-employment drug screen required
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to safety protocols
