Responsibilities
- Deliver and collect mail/packages along designated routes efficiently and accurately
- Maintain proper sorting, scanning, and documentation of mail according to USPS standards
- Operate delivery vehicles safely and adhere to traffic regulations
- Provide exceptional customer service during mail interactions and route deliveries
- Report mail irregularities, address changes, and hazardous conditions promptly
- Operate scanning technology and maintain route records digitally
- Adhere to strict safety protocols for weather conditions and heavy lifting
- Collaborate with postal staff to resolve delivery issues and optimize routes
Qualifications
- US citizenship or permanent resident status with valid work authorization
- Valid state driver's license with clean driving record (2+ years)
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs repeatedly and carry mail sacks weighing 35-50 lbs
- Pass mandatory background check, drug screening, and physical assessment
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED acceptable)
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions (heat, cold, rain)
- Basic computer literacy and familiarity with handheld scanning devices
- Strong time management and route optimization skills
