Responsibilities
- Efficiently deliver mail and packages to residential and commercial addresses along assigned routes
- Sort, organize, and prepare mail for daily delivery using USPS systems and equipment
- Operate delivery vehicles safely while adhering to traffic laws and USPS protocols
- Collect outgoing mail and postage payments from designated locations
- Maintain accurate delivery records and customer service logs
- Perform basic equipment maintenance and report mechanical issues promptly
- Assist with special deliveries and holiday mail surges as needed
Qualifications
- US citizenship or permanent residency status
- Valid California driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs repeatedly and stand/walk for extended periods
- Strong time management and route optimization skills
- Basic computer literacy for USPS digital systems
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Pass background check and drug screening
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED accepted)
