Responsibilities
- Passenger and Baggage Screening: Utilize X-ray screening technology and physical screening methods to inspect passengers, carry-on luggage, and cargo to detect prohibited items and potential security threats.
- Customer Service Excellence: Interact with the public in a professional manner, providing clear instructions, answering questions, and resolving customer concerns to ensure a positive travel experience.
- Security Protocol Enforcement: Enforce all TSA security regulations and procedures, ensuring compliance with federal laws to protect the traveling public.
- Equipment Maintenance: Monitor and perform basic maintenance on screening equipment to ensure operational readiness and accuracy.
- Emergency Response: Participate in emergency response drills and maintain situational awareness to respond effectively to any security incidents or emergencies.
Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship: Must be a U.S. citizen or national, or a Lawful Permanent Resident (Green Card holder).
- Education: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Background Check: Must successfully pass a federal background investigation, including a criminal history check and drug screening.
- Physical Capability: Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods (4-8 hours) in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid Driver's License: A valid, unexpired driver's license is required.
