Responsibilities
- Manage and process veteran benefit applications with 95% accuracy and within 24-hour turnaround
- Coordinate inter-agency communications for urgent veteran cases
- Develop and implement program improvement initiatives for service delivery
- Conduct eligibility determinations for federal assistance programs
- Prepare detailed reports on program metrics and compliance
- Train new staff on federal regulations and procedures
- Respond to congressional inquiries within strict deadlines
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business, or related field
- Minimum 2 years federal program management experience
- Active Secret security clearance (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- Proficiency with federal grant management systems (e.g., SAM.gov)
- Expertise in Veterans Affairs regulations (38 CFR)
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure with competing priorities
- US citizenship required
