Responsibilities
- Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 technical support and troubleshooting for end-user computing devices, including laptops, tablets, and mobile devices.
- Manage and maintain the local area network (LAN) and wide area network (WAN) infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and security.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot operating systems and software applications in compliance with VA standards and security protocols.
- Conduct regular system audits and security scans to identify vulnerabilities and implement necessary patches or updates.
- Assist in the deployment of new hardware and software solutions to meet business requirements.
- Document all technical procedures, incidents, and resolutions in the IT Service Management system.
Qualifications
- Citizenship requirements: Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of specialized experience in IT support, systems administration, or network engineering.
- Certifications: Possession of a valid IT certification such as CompTIA Security+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate is highly desirable.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems, Active Directory, and common office software.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with diverse audiences.
