Responsibilities
- Implement and manage robust cybersecurity measures to protect federal information systems.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify potential security gaps.
- Monitor network traffic and analyze security logs to detect and respond to cyber threats in real-time.
- Ensure compliance with federal regulations, including FISMA, NIST, and DFARS standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and enforce information security policies.
- Provide technical support and training to internal staff regarding security best practices.
- Document security incidents and prepare detailed reports for stakeholders and auditors.
Qualifications
- Active Public Trust clearance (or ability to obtain one).
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent military/technical experience).
- Certifications such as Security+, CEH, or CISSP are highly preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in federal IT environments or cybersecurity analysis.
- Proficiency in network security tools and monitoring systems (e.g., Splunk, FireEye).
- Strong understanding of ITIL framework and incident management processes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder reporting.
