Responsibilities
- Manage and troubleshoot the county's local area network (LAN) and wide area network (WAN) infrastructure.
- Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, and peripheral devices for county staff.
- Provide advanced technical support, troubleshooting, and user training to ensure optimal system performance.
- Monitor system performance, conduct regular backups, and implement data security protocols.
- Collaborate with department heads to identify technology needs and recommend scalable solutions.
- Ensure all IT systems comply with federal, state, and local government regulations and standards.
- Document technical processes, configurations, and standard operating procedures.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in IT support, systems administration, or network engineering.
- Strong working knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and TCP/IP networking.
- Familiarity with cloud services (e.g., Azure, AWS) and virtualization technologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues efficiently.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical audiences.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Level II Background Investigation clearance.
