Responsibilities
- Lead the full project lifecycle (Initiation, Planning, Execution, Monitoring, Closing) for complex IT systems.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including budgets, timelines, and resource allocation.
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration between technical developers, business analysts, and state agency partners.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks to ensure successful delivery.
- Report project status, milestones, and variances to senior leadership and stakeholders.
- Ensure strict adherence to state procurement and compliance regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- PMP or CAPM certification required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT project management within the government or enterprise sector.
- Expert knowledge of Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall methodologies.
- Strong proficiency in project management tools such as JIRA, MS Project, and Confluence.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate technical jargon for non-technical audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
