Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain NIST security controls for VA networks
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
- Monitor security incidents using SIEM tools
- Develop incident response procedures
- Manage access control systems and identity management
- Ensure compliance with FISMA and FedRAMP standards
- Train staff on security best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in IT/Cybersecurity or related field
- Security+ CE certification required
- 3+ years of IT security experience
- Familiarity with federal security frameworks
- Experience with CIS benchmarks
- Active DoD Secret clearance preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
