Responsibilities
- System Administration: Manage and maintain local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), and internet systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Security Compliance: Implement and enforce IT security protocols to protect sensitive federal data and systems from cyber threats.
- Troubleshooting: Provide advanced technical support, troubleshooting, and resolution for hardware and software issues.
- System Audits: Conduct regular system audits and perform routine maintenance to ensure system integrity and compliance.
- Project Coordination: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop, test, and deploy new IT solutions.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of network configurations, security logs, and technical documentation.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, OR 3 years of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 level.
- Experience: At least 3 years of experience in network administration, system support, or information technology.
- Certifications: ITIL Foundation certification or equivalent is highly preferred.
- Security Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust security clearance.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of federal IT standards, TCP/IP protocols, and server hardware.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with stakeholders.
