Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain secure network infrastructure for City departments.
- Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for hardware and software systems.
- Monitor network performance and implement necessary security measures to protect sensitive data.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve technical issues efficiently.
- Conduct regular system audits and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Train staff on new software applications and IT best practices.
- Manage vendor relationships and oversee IT asset management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in IT support, network administration, or systems engineering.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CCNA, or Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, hardware components, and cloud technologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical staff.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or eligible for U.S. government clearance.
