Responsibilities
- System Administration: Manage and maintain servers, networks, and hardware infrastructure to ensure 99.9% uptime for state services.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex hardware and software issues for internal staff and external stakeholders.
- Security Compliance: Implement and monitor security protocols to protect sensitive state data and comply with federal and state regulations.
- Project Support: Assist in the planning and execution of IT projects, including software upgrades and system migrations.
- Documentation: Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, including network diagrams and standard operating procedures.
- Support: Provide high-level technical support and training to government employees across various departments.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in IT support or system administration.
- Certifications: CompTIA Security+ or higher is strongly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Windows Server, Active Directory, Linux, and virtualization technologies.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Government Experience: Experience working in a government or public sector environment is a plus.
