Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain local area networks (LANs) and wide area networks (WANs) for the city.
- Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network issues.
- Monitor network performance, security, and system health to ensure 99.9% uptime.
- Collaborate with department heads to identify technology needs and provide strategic IT solutions.
- Install, configure, and update operating systems and business applications.
- Enforce data security protocols and conduct regular system audits.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in network administration or systems engineering.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and network protocols (TCP/IP).
- Experience with Cisco networking equipment and firewall management.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical staff.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and security clearance verification.
