We are looking for a detail-oriented individual to manage network infrastructure, troubleshoot complex systems, and support our mission-critical operations.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain local area networks (LAN) and wide area networks (WAN) for state facilities in El Paso.
- Monitor network performance to ensure 99.9% uptime and resolve connectivity issues efficiently.
- Implement and manage firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and other cybersecurity measures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to upgrade hardware and software systems.
- Conduct regular security audits and compliance checks in accordance with state standards.
- Provide technical support and training to internal staff on new systems and procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in network administration or systems engineering.
- Certification such as CompTIA Security+, Network+, or CCNA is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching, and VPN technologies.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States and pass a background check.
