Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and maintain complex network infrastructures using Cisco and Juniper technologies.
- Monitor network performance, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and implement proactive security measures.
- Ensure compliance with federal security standards, including NIST and FISMA regulations.
- Provide Tier 3 technical support and guidance to junior staff and end-users.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and patch management to mitigate cyber threats.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy new network solutions and upgrade legacy systems.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Certification: Active Top Secret Security Clearance (or ability to obtain one) is required.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in network engineering and system administration.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with Windows Server, Linux, Active Directory, and VPN technologies.
- Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, government-contracted environment.
