Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain complex network architectures for state facilities and remote offices.
- Monitor network performance using advanced monitoring tools to ensure high availability and low latency.
- Perform routine security audits, patch management, and vulnerability assessments to protect sensitive government data.
- Provide expert Level 3 technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network issues.
- Collaborate with project managers to deploy new IT solutions and integrate them with legacy systems.
- Maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, procedures, and incident reports.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in network administration or systems engineering.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CCNA, or Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) are highly preferred.
- Deep knowledge of Windows Server, Linux, Active Directory, and virtualization platforms (VMware/Hyper-V).
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity best practices and compliance standards (e.g., NIST, FERPA).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with diverse stakeholders.
