Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the County's server infrastructure, including Windows Server and Linux environments.
- Configure and troubleshoot network hardware, firewalls, and VPNs to ensure secure connectivity.
- Monitor system performance and implement proactive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime.
- Provide Tier 2/3 technical support and training to county staff and end-users.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal information security standards.
- Collaborate with vendors to procure and install new hardware and software solutions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience.
- Certification such as CompTIA Security+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator.
- 3+ years of experience in systems administration or network engineering.
- Strong knowledge of Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, and virtualization technologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical staff.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
