Responsibilities
- Infrastructure Management: Oversee the maintenance, optimization, and troubleshooting of local area networks (LAN) and wide area networks (WAN) across all county facilities in Mesa and surrounding areas.
- System Deployment: Deploy, configure, and maintain hardware and software solutions to support business operations and government services.
- Cybersecurity: Implement and monitor robust security protocols, firewalls, and access controls to safeguard sensitive government data and infrastructure.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with project managers and department heads to drive digital transformation initiatives and resolve complex technical issues.
- Tier 2/3 Support: Provide advanced technical support and mentorship to junior IT staff and county employees, ensuring high customer satisfaction.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate technical documentation, including network diagrams, configuration records, and standard operating procedures.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is highly preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in IT systems administration or a related technical role.
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, Virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V), and cloud platforms (Azure or AWS).
- Network Proficiency: Solid understanding of TCP/IP, routing, switching, and network security best practices.
- Problem Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex hardware and software issues.
- Communication: Superior verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
