Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the organization's Windows Server and Linux environments, ensuring 99.9% uptime.
- Implement and monitor security protocols, including firewalls, antivirus software, and intrusion detection systems to comply with state and federal regulations.
- Configure and troubleshoot network hardware, including routers, switches, and wireless access points.
- Perform regular system backups and disaster recovery planning to protect sensitive government data.
- Provide technical support and guidance to internal staff regarding hardware and software issues.
- Document system configurations, changes, and troubleshooting procedures for the IT team.
- Collaborate with vendors to manage software licenses and hardware procurement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in system administration within a corporate or government environment.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Server+, CCNA, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate are highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, and virtualization technologies (VMware or Hyper-V).
- Experience with ITIL framework and incident management processes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently under pressure.
- U.S. Citizenship required for federal/state government positions.
