Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze cybersecurity threats across federal networks using SIEM tools
- Develop and implement security controls to protect sensitive government data
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on federal systems
- Lead incident response activities during security breaches
- Ensure compliance with federal cybersecurity regulations (FISMA, NIST)
- Train federal staff on cybersecurity best practices
- Collaborate with CISA on threat intelligence sharing
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity or IT security
- Security+ CE, CISSP, or CISM certification required
- Expertise in network security, cloud security, and incident response
- Familiarity with federal security frameworks (NIST SP 800-53)
- Active Secret security clearance
- Experience with federal procurement processes (FAR/DFARS)
