Responsibilities
- Manage, monitor, and maintain the integrity of local and wide area network infrastructure, including servers, switches, and routers.
- Configure and troubleshoot complex operating systems (Windows Server, Linux) and virtualization environments.
- Implement and enforce robust cybersecurity protocols to protect sensitive state data and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Provide high-level technical support and guidance to internal staff, diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues efficiently.
- Perform routine system backups, patch management, and execute disaster recovery procedures.
- Collaborate with project managers to support IT modernization initiatives and system upgrades.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent military experience).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in systems administration or network engineering.
- Strong working knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CCNA, or MCSA are highly preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
