Responsibilities
- Analyze complex business requirements and translate them into technical specifications for system development and implementation.
- Design, test, and implement software solutions, including database management and reporting tools, to improve operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, project managers, and department stakeholders, to ensure project milestones are met.
- Perform system performance tuning, security audits, and troubleshooting to maintain high availability of critical county applications.
- Conduct user training sessions and provide technical support to ensure staff can effectively utilize new technologies.
- Maintain detailed documentation for all systems, including architecture diagrams, process flows, and user manuals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 3+ years of experience in systems analysis, software development, or database administration.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or SQL, and familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
- Strong understanding of database management systems (SQL Server, Oracle) and data warehousing principles.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced government setting.
- Valid California Driver’s License may be required for on-site collaboration.
