Responsibilities
- Define and execute the long-term quantum computing architecture roadmap, specifically tailored for 2026 deployment milestones.
- Design and optimize quantum algorithms to solve complex problems in cryptography, materials science, and artificial intelligence.
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to bridge the gap between theoretical physics and practical quantum hardware implementation.
- Oversee the migration of legacy systems to next-generation quantum environments, ensuring zero downtime and maximum efficiency.
- Lead a cross-functional team of quantum physicists and software engineers to deliver breakthrough innovations ahead of schedule.
- Establish best practices for quantum error correction and noise mitigation in high-fidelity environments.
Qualifications
- Ph.D. or Masterβs degree in Physics, Computer Science, or a related field with a focus on Quantum Mechanics or Computational Theory.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in high-performance computing, with at least 3 years specifically in quantum computing or advanced simulation.
- Deep expertise in programming languages such as Python, C++, and Q#.
- Proven track record of leading technical teams through complex architectural transitions.
- Strong understanding of quantum gate models, qubit topologies, and quantum error correction codes.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of translating complex technical concepts for executive stakeholders.
