Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain heavy machinery (street sweepers, mowers, dump trucks)
- Perform routine maintenance on parks, sidewalks, and public facilities
- Assist in emergency storm response and debris removal operations
- Collect and process residential/commercial waste per EPA standards
- Conduct daily equipment safety inspections and preventative maintenance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure projects
- Document daily operations and maintenance activities
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid Florida Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 1 year experience in public works or construction
- OSHA 10-Hour Construction certification preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in extreme weather conditions
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Basic computer literacy for reporting systems
- Strong commitment to public safety and community service
