Responsibilities
- Perform daily maintenance on public parks, streets, and drainage systems
- Operate light equipment (mowers, trimmers, pressure washers) safely and efficiently
- Assist in disaster recovery and emergency response operations
- Conduct routine inspections of municipal properties and report hazards
- Support community beautification initiatives including landscaping and litter removal
- Maintain accurate work logs and safety documentation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on city-wide projects
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Louisiana driver's license with clean record
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Basic equipment operation experience preferred
- Strong commitment to workplace safety protocols
- Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends and emergencies
- Resident of Orleans Parish required
