Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance on city vehicles and equipment
- Operate heavy machinery (mowers, tractors, trenchers) safely
- Inspect and repair public facilities (pavements, playgrounds, signage)
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests during storms
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure projects
- Complete daily work logs and incident reports
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Texas Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- 3+ years equipment maintenance experience
- OSHA 10-hour certification preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work outdoors in all weather
- Basic computer literacy for reporting systems
- Valid Texas Driver's License with clean record
- Spanish bilingual skills highly desirable
