Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on city parks, streets, and public facilities
- Operate light machinery (mowers, trimmers, snow removal equipment)
- Inspect and repair playground equipment, benches, and signage
- Assist with stormwater management and drainage system upkeep
- Respond to citizen service requests for municipal property issues
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs and safety records
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams for coordinated projects
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid New Mexico driver's license with clean record
- 1+ years of maintenance or construction experience preferred
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to operate hand/power tools safely
- Basic knowledge of landscaping and irrigation systems
- Strong work ethic and ability to perform physically demanding tasks
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
