What You Will Do:
- Maintain and repair public infrastructure, including roads, sidewalks, and drainage systems.
- Operate heavy machinery and construction equipment such as excavators, rollers, and graders.
- Inspect work sites to ensure compliance with safety regulations and city codes.
- Perform general cleaning and upkeep of public parks and facilities.
- Collaborate with a diverse team of engineers and contractors on municipal projects.
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests promptly and efficiently.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Valid California Class C Driver’s License and a clean driving record.
- Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting 50+ lbs and operating heavy equipment.
- Experience in construction, landscaping, or public works is highly preferred.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repair of city streets, sidewalks, and infrastructure.
- Operate heavy machinery and construction equipment safely and efficiently.
- Inspect work sites for safety hazards and ensure compliance with municipal codes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to complete large-scale municipal projects.
- Ensure all tools and materials are accounted for and maintained in good condition.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Valid California Class C Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
- Physical ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform strenuous outdoor labor.
- Previous experience in public works, construction, or landscaping preferred.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
