Responsibilities
- Infrastructure Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on municipal facilities, including plumbing, electrical, and carpentry tasks as needed.
- Street and Grounds Keeping: Conduct street sweeping, snow removal, and facility landscaping to ensure public spaces remain safe and aesthetically pleasing.
- Equipment Operation: Safely operate and perform preventative maintenance on heavy machinery, such as dump trucks, front-end loaders, and street sweepers.
- Refuse Management: Oversee waste collection routes and ensure proper disposal procedures are followed to maintain city hygiene standards.
- Emergency Response: Respond to and assist with weather-related emergencies, including flood control and debris removal during storms.
- Compliance Reporting: Complete daily logs, safety reports, and inventory management for tools and equipment.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in general maintenance, construction, or a related field.
- Driver's License: Valid Nevada Class C Driver's License with a clean driving record required.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for extended periods, and work in various weather conditions.
- Skills: Basic knowledge of mechanical systems and hand/power tools.
- Communication: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
