Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance on city facilities, playgrounds, and green spaces
- Operate heavy equipment (mowers, trucks, trimmers) safely and efficiently
- Respond to emergency repairs during storms and extreme weather
- Conduct daily inspections of public infrastructure for hazards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on community improvement projects
- Maintain accurate logs of maintenance activities and equipment usage
- Adhere to all OSHA and municipal safety protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; technical certification preferred
- Minimum 2 years in facility maintenance or groundskeeping
- Valid Oklahoma Class C driver's license with clean record
- OSHA 10-hour certification or willingness to obtain within 90 days
- Experience operating heavy machinery (mowers, tractors, etc.)
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in extreme weather conditions
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Pass background check and drug screening
