Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on municipal facilities, playgrounds, and park infrastructure
- Operate heavy machinery including trucks, graders, and specialized maintenance equipment safely and efficiently
- Respond to emergency infrastructure repairs during extreme weather events and public safety incidents
- Conduct routine inspections of public assets and document maintenance activities using digital reporting systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure improvement projects
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and environmental compliance standards
- Maintain accurate records of materials, labor, and equipment usage
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent with 3+ years of facilities maintenance or construction experience
- Valid Colorado Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- OSHA 10-hour construction safety certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
- Proficiency with hand/power tools, diagnostic equipment, and basic mechanical systems
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds, work outdoors in extreme conditions, and stand for extended periods
- Basic knowledge of sustainable maintenance practices and water conservation techniques
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to prioritize tasks in high-pressure situations
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
