Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance on public facilities, parks, and transportation infrastructure
- Operate heavy machinery including street sweepers, dump trucks, and snow removal equipment
- Respond to emergency service requests within established SLAs
- Conduct safety inspections and maintain compliance with OSHA regulations
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams on city improvement projects
- Document work activities using digital reporting systems
- Participate in seasonal weather preparedness initiatives
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification preferred
- Valid Texas Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years experience in municipal maintenance or construction
- OSHA 10-hour construction safety certification
- Proficiency with hydraulic systems and power tools
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Basic computer literacy for reporting systems
- Must pass background check and drug screening
