Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repair of municipal infrastructure, including streets, sidewalks, and drainage systems.
- Inspect public facilities and equipment to ensure safety compliance and optimal functionality.
- Operate heavy machinery and hand tools in a safe and efficient manner.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests promptly during inclement weather.
- Collaborate with other city departments to ensure project continuity.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Valid California Class C Driver’s License and a clean driving record.
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting, standing for extended periods, and working in various weather conditions.
- Basic knowledge of construction and maintenance practices is preferred.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
