Responsibilities
- Perform daily street sweeping, trash collection, and sanitation duties to maintain city cleanliness.
- Inspect and maintain public facilities, parks, and green spaces to ensure community enjoyment.
- Assist in snow and ice removal operations during winter months to ensure public safety.
- Operate and maintain light to medium-duty heavy equipment, such as dump trucks and front-end loaders.
- Respond to citizen inquiries and provide excellent customer service regarding city services.
- Ensure strict compliance with all safety regulations and city policies at all times.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Valid Washington State Driver’s License (Class B CDL preferred but not required).
- Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting heavy objects, standing for extended periods, and operating machinery.
- Strong commitment to public service and community safety.
- Basic knowledge of general maintenance tools and equipment is a plus.
- Reliable attendance record and punctuality are mandatory.
