Responsibilities
- Maintain public parks, sidewalks, and municipal facilities
- Operate heavy equipment (mowers, trucks, tractors) safely
- Perform minor repairs on infrastructure and equipment
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests citywide
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and environmental standards
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams on projects
- Document work activities and submit progress reports
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid NC Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- 2+ years maintenance/construction experience
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in all weather conditions
- Basic plumbing/electrical knowledge a plus
- Pass background check and drug screening
